Card Notebook is distributed through the Apple App Store. Your use of the app is governed by Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (STELA), which is incorporated here by reference. This document supplements the STELA with provisions specific to Card Notebook. Where this document is silent, the STELA controls.
Card Notebook ("the app") is a business-card scanning tool for iOS. You install the app on your iOS device. The app stores everything you scan locally on that device.
The app does not have a backend. Nothing you scan is transmitted to the developer or to any third party. There are no analytics, no telemetry, no advertising SDKs. If you back up your iOS device to iCloud, your app data is included in that backup, encrypted by Apple.
Card Notebook uses Apple's on-device Foundation Models to extract structured contact fields from card images. The app requires iOS 26 and Apple Intelligence enabled (iPhone 15 Pro or newer). Card Notebook will not operate on iPhones without Apple Intelligence — there is no cloud fallback. If Apple Intelligence is temporarily unavailable during a session, the app may attempt limited best-effort extraction; full functionality requires Apple Intelligence.
To the extent permitted by law and in addition to the disclaimer in Apple's STELA, the app is provided "as is." Extraction accuracy depends on card legibility, lighting, and Apple's on-device models — please review every contact before exporting or acting on it.
To the maximum extent permitted by law and in addition to the limitation in Apple's STELA, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to lost contacts, missed follow-ups, or business outcomes affected by extraction errors.
Card Notebook is a one-time, paid-up-front app. There is no subscription, no in-app purchase, no recurring charge. The purchase is processed by Apple. Refunds are handled by Apple per its standard App Store policies at reportaproblem.apple.com.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that your collection, storage, and use of the contact information of others complies with the laws of your jurisdiction, including data-protection, anti-spam, marketing-consent, and privacy laws (such as the CAN-SPAM Act, TCPA, and applicable state laws). The fact that someone handed you a card at an event is not, by itself, consent for every form of follow-up.
We may revise this supplement in future app updates. Material changes will be surfaced in the app's Settings screen. Continued use after a material change constitutes acceptance.
To the extent not governed by Apple's STELA, this supplement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Serbia, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
