This Privacy Policy describes how Aleksei Bukhalov ("Developer," "we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the Lease Log mobile application ("App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
We do not collect, store, process, or transmit any personal data or personally identifiable information ("PII") to any server we operate. The App does not require account creation, login, registration, or any form of authentication.
All user-generated content — including but not limited to lease details (address, dates, rent, deposit), walkthrough photographs, maintenance entries, payment records, communications, apartment specifications, contact entries, and any notes — is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework and the App's sandboxed file system. None of this data is transmitted to the Developer, to any cloud service, or to any third party as part of the App's operation.
The App is a record-keeping tool. You may choose to enter information about other people (for example, a landlord's name, phone number, or email; messages from a property manager; the name of a neighbor or service provider). This information is recorded solely on your device for your personal record-keeping. You are responsible for ensuring that your collection and storage of such third-party information complies with the laws applicable to you and to the people referenced — including, where relevant, recording-consent laws, data-protection laws, and any contractual obligations. Lease Log does not transmit, share, or disclose any such information.
The App can attach photographs to walkthrough records, maintenance entries, communication entries, and apartment specifications. Photographs are added through Apple's standard photo picker, which the App accesses with your explicit per-session permission. Selected photographs are downsampled and stored exclusively in the App's local sandbox. We do not transmit photographs to any server. Photographs retain their original capture timestamps for your evidentiary use.
The App schedules local notifications on your device to remind you about your lease end date and notice deadline. These notifications are scheduled by iOS on your device and are never routed through any server, including Apple's push notification service. You may disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings.
The App does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking services. The only external interactions occur through:
(a) Apple's StoreKit 2 framework for processing the one-time in-app unlock purchase. Such transactions are handled entirely by Apple Inc. and are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to your payment information, Apple ID, or transaction details beyond Apple's anonymized, aggregated reporting to developers.
(b) Apple's tap-to-call (tel:), tap-to-text (sms:), and tap-to-email (mailto:) deep links, which open the corresponding system app with information you have entered. The App does not initiate or transmit those communications itself.
Apple may independently collect certain data (such as crash logs, app usage statistics, and diagnostics) through the App Store and iOS. This collection is governed by your iOS settings and Apple's own privacy policies, and is outside our control.
The App does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. We do not use any tracking technologies, cookies, web beacons, pixels, device fingerprinting, or advertising identifiers (IDFA). The App does not request access to the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework because no tracking occurs.
Version 1.0 of the App does not synchronize data to iCloud or any other cloud service. If a future version offers iCloud synchronization, it will use Apple's CloudKit framework writing exclusively to your private iCloud database, will be opt-in, and will be disclosed in an updated version of this Privacy Policy at that time.
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the App collects no personal data from any user, no special provisions for children's data are necessary. If you believe a child has somehow provided personal information through the App, please contact us immediately.
Since the App does not collect, process, or store any personal data on systems we operate, the access, rectification, portability, and deletion rights of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the United Kingdom GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and similar data-protection laws are inherently satisfied. There is no personal data to access, rectify, port, or delete on our end. All data resides solely on your device under your exclusive control.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or California and believe you have any data-related rights to exercise, please contact us and we will respond within the legally required timeframe.
We retain no user data on our systems. All App data is stored locally on your device. You may delete all of your Lease Log data at any time by:
(a) Using the in-app "Delete all lease data" button in Settings;
(b) Uninstalling the App; or
(c) Erasing it through iOS Settings → General → iPhone Storage → Lease Log → Delete App.
The App can generate a PDF document containing the records you have entered. The generated PDF is written to your device's local temporary storage and presented through Apple's standard share sheet. Whether to share, save, print, or transmit the PDF (and to whom) is solely your decision. Any subsequent handling of the PDF after you share it from the share sheet is governed by the apps and services you choose to use, not by Lease Log.
While we do not transmit or store your data on external servers, we take reasonable measures to ensure the App operates securely. Local data is protected by the security mechanisms built into iOS, including device encryption, the App Sandbox, and Apple's biometric authentication when configured by you on the device.
Lease Log is a record-keeping tool. It is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and does not represent any party in any dispute. Whether the records you generate are admissible or persuasive in any specific jurisdiction or proceeding is determined by the applicable rules of evidence and the relevant tribunal — not by us. For legal advice regarding your tenancy, security deposit, or any dispute, consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction.
We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Serbia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
